What is your role with Plan Partners?
My role is Plan Specialist. It encompasses lots of various administrative tasks, but at its core I mostly deal with invoices that are invalid and work with customers and service providers to help get them approved.
What did you do before Plan Partners?
I worked as a Customer Service Consultant at a finance company, answering calls and completing various administrative tasks – so there’s certainly some skills that I’ve carried over.
What has been your favourite Plan Partners moment?
My favourite Plan Partners moment is whenever we get together as a group - even if that is via Teams these days. Everyone at Plan Partners is so friendly and dedicated to doing the best they can in the role they have. It always gives me a warm feeling!
What drives you?
What drives me is resolving issues and knowing I have relieved the customer or service provider of stress. Drawing on my knowledge of the NDIS to resolve an invalid invoice and have it end up being paid is my favourite part of this role.
What advice would you give someone starting their NDIS journey?
My advice would be to not be afraid to ask questions. One thing I have learned at Plan Partners is that every participant's situation is different. You may be surprised by what the NDIS can do for you, but that will only happen if you ask questions and communicate what you think will assist you with your disability. What is not claimable for one participant may be for you depending on circumstances, so please ask questions.
