Pricing update for NDIS service providers who offer group-based supports   

In late 2023 there was an update to the pricing arrangements for group-based supports, effective 31 December. The update was solely for providers who deliver group-based social and community participation supports as core supports. Providers who deliver other types of group-based supports should not follow the information below. 

What's changed 

Previously, group-based supports/services could be billed as ratio pricing or divided pricing.  As of January 1, 2024, all group-based billing must be divided pricing and provided with three separate line items (direct support, non-face-to-face, and centre capital costs).   

Changes to your line items 

When it comes to providing your invoices to Plan Partners, the line items required have changed.  

The updated list of line items for direct supports are below (you can only use these codes), for a full list of all line items (including non-face-to-face, and centre capital costs), please refer to the most recent NDIS Price Guide

What you need to do 

Step 1: Check the date you provided your group-based support (on your invoice). 

  • Invoices/services dated before 31/12/2023: Group-based supports/services provided before 31st December 2023 can still be billed as ratio pricing or divided pricing. 

  • Invoices/services dated after 31/12/2023: As of January 1, 2024, all group-based billing must be divided pricing and provided with three separate line items (direct support, non-face-to-face, and centre capital costs). 

Step 2: Submit your invoices with the applicable codes, including the updated line-item numbers to suit the updated group-based supports pricing arrangements in the price guide. 

Step 3: Remember that if you’re claiming non face to face and/or centre capital costs, they must be included separately!
