How to endorse a plan manager when you have an NDIS plan
What is endorsing and why do I need to do it?
Endorsing is just a fancy way of saying that you need to officially tell the NDIA who you are choosing to manage your plan.
It’s important because without being officially endorsed by you, we can’t start providing services and making payments etc. If you need any help endorsing Plan Partners, call us on 1300 333 700 and select option 1.
There is a difference in the endorsing process for people who are starting their first plan or are not plan managed, and those who are already plan managed.
See below for a breakdown of each process.
How to endorse Plan Partners
I’m about to start my first NDIS plan
Follow these steps if you are not on the NDIS but are in the process of starting your first NDIS plan:
- Check that ‘Choice and control’ is included in your NDIS plan, if not you can ask your NDIS contact to add it.

What to say when endorsing Plan Partners
Here is an example of how to explain your choice to endorse Plan Partners when contacting the NDIA on 1800 800 110.
Hi,
I am calling to endorse a plan manager for my current plan. I would like to endorse Plan Partners as my plan manager for my NDIS plan. Plan Partners’ ABN Number is 54 609 868 993 and their NDIS registration number is 4050002983. Please endorse Plan Partners from [plan start date], which is the start date of my current plan.
Once the endorsement is confirmed we are good to go!
What if I’m already with Plan Partners and I’m starting a new plan? Will I need to endorse?
Your NDIS contact will call you before your plan’s end date to discuss your situation and yes, you will need to advise that you would like to endorse Plan Partners as your plan manager.
Make sure to tell your NDIS contact that you would like to endorse Plan Partners as your ongoing plan manager.
Important information for support coordinators
Endorsement can only be done by the participant, their nominee, or their guardian. As a support coordinator, you cannot endorse providers on your participant's behalf.
If your participant would like to have their plan managed by a provider such as Plan Partners, they must now endorse them, which just means that they need to tell the NDIA who you are choosing to manage their plan.
