Today, we’re highlighting the wonderful team at Activate Allied Health, and getting the scoop on all their services.

Tell us a bit about Activate Allied Health

Activate Allied Health was established in March 2021 as an Exercise Physiology clinic in Balwyn North, Melbourne. Over the past 5 years, we have grown into a multidisciplinary health service supporting our local community.

Our mission it to provide accessible, person-centred care that builds capacity, empowers individuals, and enhances the quality of life of our community.

We are built on a welcoming and supportive environment, where participants receive evidence-based therapy while also benefiting socially and forming meaningful connections with our team and other clientele.

What sort of services do you offer?

We offer a range of services at Activate Allied Health, including:

Why do people come to you for help?

People engage with our services to improve their physical capacity, communication skills, and ability to complete everyday tasks. They seek high-quality, evidence-based therapy they can trust is aligned with current best practice. Beyond therapy, participants become part of a welcoming and supportive community, where they can build meaningful connections and actively engage with others.

What's the goal or overall aspiration you have for your customers?

Our mission it to provide accessible, person-centred care that builds capacity, empowers individuals, and enhances the quality of life of our community.

Our aim for all clients is to support their health and wellbeing journey, helping them work toward their goals, participate in the community, and enhance their overall quality of life.

How important is a tailored approach in your work?

Extremely. No two individuals are the same, and the most effective allied health practitioners recognise the importance of thorough assessment and individually tailored, evidence-based intervention planning.

We prioritise a comprehensive initial assessment and ensure that each first appointment concludes with a clear, gold-standard recommendation. This allows clients to leave with a defined, evidence-informed plan to support them in achieving their goals.

What’s something that people should know about your services that most people don’t know?

We prioritise removing waitlists to ensure participants can access the support they need, when they need it. While we offer telehealth and home visits within 25 minutes of Balwyn North for those unable to attend in person, our key point of difference is our dedicated clinic and community space.

When Activate Allied Health was established, it was driven by a recognition of a gap in the industry: a physical space where participants could access high-quality, specialised therapy and equipment within an inclusive, welcoming environment that fosters meaningful connection and relationships.

We aim for clients to value their time at Activate not only for the gold-standard therapy they receive, but also for the social connection and sense of belonging it provides.

Looking ahead, we hope to expand our services to create additional spaces that support and engage different local communities across Melbourne.
