This week, we introduce Brendan Movliatti, one of the Directors of New Wave Care, supporting participants across the Sunshine Coast, Caboolture and North Brisbane.

Hi Brendan, tell us a bit about New Wave Care.

New Wave Care wasn’t created on a whim or out of chance, it was created from a moment of sheer clarity. After 13 years in the mining industry, I realised my heart was somewhere else entirely. I wanted to make a difference. I wanted to help people. And for the first time, I chose to truly believe in myself and change careers.

Leaving mining wasn’t a leap, it was a coming home to what I was meant to do.

Becoming an Equipment Specialist in Cairns helped me see the power of independence, movement, and meaningful support. I watched people light up when they regained control of their lives and something inside me lit up too.

That spark ignited the creation of New Wave Care.

A provider built from passion, belief, and a deep desire to change lives in a way that feels human, real, and powerful.

Fast forward to today, our team at New Wave Care is made up of a group of energetic, big-hearted changemakers who bring warmth, authenticity, and momentum to everything they do. From the Sunshine Coast to North Brisbane, we’re building a community that lifts each other, cheers each other on, and creates an impact that actually sticks.

We don’t just support. We inspire, empower, and make waves.

What sort of services do you offer?

We deliver support that helps participants grow, live confidently, and step into the life they truly want. From high-needs and complex care, daily living, and community access right through to STR adventures, we’re here to build real progress, help our participants live life to the fullest, and make memories that last a lifetime, not just fill a roster.

It's at the core of everything we do.

Everyone has their own rhythm, their own dreams, their own energy and we shape our support around the participant, not the other way around.
