Good news! NDIS participants can continue accessing Support Coordination with their Core funding until the end of March.
The NDIS surprised everyone late last week by announcing this measure would be finishing at the end of February. Fortunately, after receiving lots of feedback about the negative affect that decision would have on people, they extended the end date.
You will be able to use your Core funding to access Support Coordination until the 31st of March.
After this date, only people who have Support Coordination in their plans will be able to access it using their Capacity Building funds.
If you’re a Plan Partners customer and have been accessing Support Coordination using your Core funding, we’ll continue to support you throughout this transition. If you have any questions or concerns please contact your Plan Partners Support Coordinator.
Our Support Coordination team will work closely with our customers over the month ahead to ensure they’re ready for the end of this measure.
If you’ve accessed Support Coordination using your Core funding and found it to be useful, you may be able to have it added to your plan. The NDIS are temporarily granting reviews to people whose supports have been disrupted after 31 March due to COVID-19 and therefore require the assistance of a Support Coordinator. If you’re in this situation, contact your Local Area Coordinator, planner or the NDIS to discuss your options. Our team will also be able to help you through this process.
If you’re approaching your plan’s end date, the NDIS will contact you to ask if you’re happy with your plan. This is a good opportunity to request a full plan review and then ask to have Support Coordination added to your plan.
