Through the NDIS, Quoc attends English lessons and are one of his favourite times of the week. Not only does he get to improve his English language skills, he also gets to meet and talk with new people.
A naturally shy person, attending these classes are a big accomplishment for Quoc and just one barrier that the NDIS is helping him overcome. With the support of the NDIS and Plan Partners, Quoc can now attend classes every week.
Quoc’s brother and primary carer, Ngoc, says the NDIS has enabled his older brother to get a lot more out of his life and taken some pressure off the family.
“We all want him to enjoy himself and do as much as he can. With his NDIS funding, he’s now able to go out more and meet new people– and that’s been great to see.
“Initially, we managed Quoc’s first NDIS plan ourselves, but it soon became a little overwhelming. Taking care of Quoc is a time-consuming job, and I just didn’t have the time to deal with organising his funding and supports too.
“Plan Partners took that pressure off and allowed us to focus more on Quoc. Our family can now relax knowing the invoices and complex financial side of things are all in safe hands.”
