Meet Tim and Tom
Housemates Tim and Tom have been friends for over 40 years. They love to have structure in their day that involves a busy routine of activities and community work. The NDIS and Plan Partners have helped Tim and Tom connect to a rich variety of supports, so they can get out and about living an active life filled with creativity, adventure walking and volunteer work.
With Plan Partners as their plan manager, their plan nominee, Chris, doesn't have to worry about all the paperwork that comes with their NDIS plans. She can spend her time supporting them to live their best lives.
Tim and Tom have plan management and support coordination with Plan Partners and have been valued customers for over 3 years.

<p><strong>[00:00:02]</strong> <em>Interviewer:</em> How do you know Tom?</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:03]</strong> <em>Tim:</em> Thomas? I’ve known him for over 43 years.</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:08]</strong> <em>Tom:</em> I first met Tim when I came to the adventure weekend in August 1978.</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:17]</strong> <em>Interviewer:</em> What is the NDIS?</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:19]</strong> <em>Participant:</em> The NDIS is government funding for people with disability, and it allows them to use funds to enjoy their life.</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:28]</strong> <em>Tim:</em> We like going on camps and going to Wilsons Promontory, and participating in Special Olympics and Tri-State Games.</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:41]</strong> <em>Interviewer:</em> What is plan management?</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:44]</strong> <em>Representative:</em> With plan management, we take away the burden of the day-to-day for you, so you can spend more time with your family and doing what you want to do, rather than worrying about payments.</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:54]</strong> <em>Tom:</em> I like going on outing trips like doing tenpin bowling in Shepparton and sometimes snow skiing at Mt Buller.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:08]</strong> <em>Tim:</em> Yeah, Tom and I live together.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:09]</strong> <em>Tom:</em> Back in early 1984, I started moving into the same house with my friend Tim, who I live with now.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:18]</strong> <em>Tim:</em> I do housework like the floors, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping, cleaning out the fridge, and sorting out my clothes.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:30]</strong> <em>Tom:</em> On Mondays, I work at the caravan park from 1 o’clock till 4 o’clock. I like doing lawn mowing when it’s a nice fine day.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:38]</strong> <em>Tim:</em> I work at the library from 1:30 to 4:00, then do hotel work on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 till 12. Sometimes I do hotel work on Saturdays as well.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:57]</strong> <em>Tom:</em> I also enjoy doing the art program at Yooralla. I do art drawings every Monday morning.</p>
<p><strong>[00:02:07]</strong> <em>Tom:</em> At the moment, I’m doing a new drawing of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. That’s my new drawing right now.</p>
