<p><strong>[00:00:07]</strong> This is going to be fun — it’s going to be like six takes. We’ll be right. Take two.</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:16]</strong> Not knowing what it’s like to be in the workforce with a disability.</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:20]</strong> Yes, I did do a few work placements.</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:29]</strong> It was fun.</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:35]</strong> But there’s just some people out there that won’t understand.</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:44]</strong> They won’t understand if you’ve got a disability or not.</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:46]</strong> So the challenges that I face are high anxiety.</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:53]</strong> My disability isn’t visible.</p>
<p><strong>[00:00:56]</strong> So people misunderstand me.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:10]</strong> They don’t get me.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:17]</strong> SLES funding has helped me.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:22]</strong> It helped me find the tools to get a job.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:26]</strong> Doing a résumé.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:29]</strong> Time management.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:32]</strong> Getting to work on time.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:37]</strong> Getting the uniforms and whatever else you need.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:54]</strong> My advice to school leavers is this.</p>
<p><strong>[00:01:59]</strong> Find the right job provider.</p>
<p><strong>[00:02:02]</strong> Someone who understands SLES funding.</p>
<p><strong>[00:02:07]</strong> And who gets you for who you are.</p>
<p><strong>[00:02:15]</strong> Not someone who they think you are.</p>
<p><strong>[00:02:20]</strong> If you have the right job provider, you can find a job that is right for you.</p>
<p><strong>[00:02:29]</strong> A job that you enjoy and love doing.</p>
<p><strong>[00:02:40]</strong> Try and get a job.</p>
<p><strong>[00:02:43]</strong> It will give you a sense of purpose.</p>
<p><strong>[00:02:46]</strong> And motivate you to do something every day.</p>
