As a Customer Service Officer, I answer questions from customers, service providers, and our support coordination team. These can be about customers’ accounts and situations, as well as the NDIS journey and more.
What did you do before Plan Partners?
I used to work in a customer service role in a more corporate setting. Now being in the disability sector and working with Plan Partners, it is even more important to put the customer first in everything we do – something I’m all about.
What has been your favourite Plan Partners moment?
I’ve had so many amazing moments here, however one thing that never fails to put a smile on my face is when someone calls us because we’ve been recommended by a friend or service provider. Hearing that gives me a real sense of pride in what we’re doing and my part in the process.
What drives you?
As the NDIS is still so new, there’s a lot of uncertainty around it – particularly when customers get their first plan. I can really relate to this, because when I first joined Plan Partners I found the world of the NDIS to be pretty confusing and daunting too. Now that I’m familiar with it and understand how it all works, I’m driven to share my knowledge with customers, so they can navigate the NDIS with confidence.
What advice would you give someone starting their NDIS journey?
Remember that the NDIS is all about supporting you to achieve your personal goals. So refer back to your NDIS plan and the goals listed in that, and connect with the service providers who will help you achieve them. It might seem overwhelming at first, but keeping that in mind can really help to simplify things. And if you ever need additional help, the NDIA, LACs or the Plan Partners team can all guide you on how you can bring your NDIS plan to life.
