What's changed in the 2026-27 Pricing Schedule?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Annual Pricing Review (APR) examines what are considered appropriate NDIS prices for the 2026-27 financial year. It considers market conditions, costs, and participant outcomes to ensure pricing remains sustainable, fair, and value driven.

This guidance is then used to inform the NDIS Pricing Schedule and Support Catalogue. This year there has been a few updates, so read on to find out what's changed and if you have any questions just let us know.

Changes for the 2026-27 year

Reviewing the disability support worker (DSW) cost model

The amount disability support workers are paid is increasing in line with recent changes to the minimum wage, with the new hourly base cap set to be $73.58.

An increase was also passed on to psychosocial recovery coaching, with a new national price cap of $110.44 per hour.

New support worker line items

The updated Pricing Schedule has introduced specific line items for DSW services, there are four:

Support Coordination and Plan Management fee unchanged

Administration fees for Support Coordination and Plan Management services are not changing.

You won’t pay any more or less for your Support Coordination and Plan Management, these will still be paid separate to your other supports, from your NDIS plan, at no cost to you.

Short Term Respite (STR) to be unbundled

The current pricing guidance for STR (bundled):

NEW pricing guidance for STR from 1 July (unbundled):

Once separated from the support costs, the accommodation part of STR should be aligned with the existing price for Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) at $162.85.

Adjustments to nursing and capital supports

Prices for Nursing and ‘other supports’ not covered by DSW-related supports, Capital supports or otherwise covered in the Annual Pricing Review, should increase by around 3.4%.

Separate line items should be introduced for claiming non-face-to-face therapy support provision, including activities such as:

These line items would allow non-face-to-face activities to be claimed and recorded separately, with the goal of improving transparency and accuracy in claiming.

Some changes to allied health caps and line items

The below updates to price caps have been announced, all other allied health price caps have stayed the same.
